Visit Us on our Open Field Day Sun 29 May 2016

The Amateur Beekeepers, Sutherland will conduct an Open Field Day at our Apiary and Education Centre at Waratah Park Sutherland off Eton Street South. Directions to our apiary can be found here.

The Field Day will commence at 10.00am and there will be many staged activities involving hive inspection, talks on very relevant subjects, honey extraction and tasting PLUS free sausage sizzle, tea, coffee and drinks.

We have protective clothing for use whilst inspecting hives and we recommend that you wear long pants, long sleeve shirts/ blouses also shoes and long socks. On the day we suggest you do not use perfume or hairspray, as weather permitting we open our hives for inspection (cosmetics may irritate the bees). We welcome you to attend. For further information contact Geoff Henning on 0466 976 520
